Global Warming Conference

Have you received a letter or an e-mail telling you of a Global Warming Conference/Exhibition  in the UK?  Leave such a letter or e-mail well alone: it's just a scam. Although the sender claims to be the IDO – International Development Organization, NO official communication was sent by our Organization, notwithstanding we apparently share the same organization name.

The European Union (European Commission and Member States) is proud to be the largest contributor of external assistance, with more than 55% of the world’s official development aid. The Commission alone manages one-fifth of these European funds.

2006 was another record year for the European Community’s external assistance, with commitments reaching € 9.8 billion. The Community is therefore on course to meet its part of the EU undertaking to double Official Development Assistance by 2015, in order to achieve the Millennium Development Goals. As regards budget execution, the Commission disbursed a total sum of € 8.1 billion in 2006, up from € 7.5 billion in 2005.
